The Cashback accumulated in your ShopBack account shall expire if your account remains inactive (i.e. no successful transactions are made through ShopBack) for a period of more than a year.
Do we also expire confirmed Bonuses from the Customer's Account?
- Unfortunately yes. For Example, Cashback of $7 (created at 25-January-2017, confirmed by 25-March-2017) and Bonus of $5 (created at 25-May-2017, confirmed by 25-May-2017), then assuming no further valid activity by the Customer, Cashback of $12 ($7 + $5) would expire on 26-January-2018
What about unconfirmed Bonuses?
- No, this is because unconfirmed Bonuses remain in "Pending" and are not reflected inside "Available Balance". For example, Cashback of $7 (created at 25-January-2017, confirmed by 25-March-2017) and Bonus of $5 (created at 25-May-2017 but have yet to meet all unlock conditions), then assuming no further valid activity by the Customer, Cashback of $7 would expire on 26-January-2018
What if a Bonus (for some reasons) is confirmed after year?
- Whatever amount that is left in an inactive Customer's Available Balance after a year will expire automatically - the general rule of thumb is: if a Customer Account has been deemed invalid / inactive, then the Cashback will fall into our expire cashback terms and conditions.
For example, Cashback of $7 (created at 25-January-2017, confirmed at 25-March-2017) and Bonus of $5 (created at 25-May-2017, confirmed by 25-May-2018), then assuming no further valid activity by the Customer, Cashback of $7 would expire on 26-January-2018 and Cashback of $5 would expire on 26-May-2018.
